Storeroom, Offices and Training Room

CV Engineering was the architect/engineer for this project that included improvements
to the spare parts storage area, addition of a 2500 sq.ft. office building inside
the repair bay, and complete renovation of a basement training room that included
improvements for handicapped accessibility. The storeroom modifications required
demolition of several existing walls, construction of new masonry walls, and modification
of door openings. The new office building was designed using concrete masonry units
with a steel supported concrete slab roof, and had to be designed to accommodate
the interior furnishings. For the training room renovation, existing wood stud walls
were removed and replaced with steel studs and gypsum board for compliance with
fire code. Modification to the main entryway was done to accommodate wheelchair
access, and a wheelchair lift was specified. Electrical design work included new
zoned lighting fixtures, power outlets, and computer network connections.
